Entry 189; Day 449
[Filtered from DELILAH || Unhackable]
The curse is over, and none too soon. I'm very nearly run off my feet. Riff, I think you're much better suited to your job than I am. I hope I was halfway decent about it while everyone was, well, indecent.
Mr Suou, I hope you didn't pour that acid into your face yesterday, or now would be about the time that you'd begin regretting it, now that the ladies of the City are both clothed and radient with relief at the end of the curse.
And, Kaoru, I am sorry to have disappointed you by not being cursed. I'm sure you found other ways to amuse yourself besides tormenting me.
Rosette,is it safe to may I come into the kitchen again? I'm rather fond of living, so I'd prefer not to risk your wrath if it's not yet safe permitted.
[Private to Megumi Yamamura || Unhackable]
Megumi, the flowers you brought are lovely. Thank you. I'm sure you were up to something, coming over as you were yesterday, flowers and all. Yes, I was a bit shocked, thank you, so you win that round. But you seemed a bit like a dryad or a forest fairy, or something out of a myth--was it Chloris who was goddess of flowers? If one looks at it in a classical sense, like some of the great sculptors' works, it's not embarrassing at all. Either way, the flowers you brought are lovely. Thank you.
I'm afraid, though that I have to ask you something in all seriousness now. Have you heard anything from Mr Crehador of late? I've waited as long as I think I'm able. I've heard nothing, he's sent me no messages, not even infuriatingly coded ones. Is it possible for you to contact him? I need to know what he's found out, if anything. Blitza's been killed, and interest in the poisonings seems to be waning. It's not surprising when strong curses come one after the other. I need to make those connections between the poisonings, Blitza, 'Mr Carlyle', and my father. Please, if you can, if it's safe and possible for you, contact Mr Crehador and ask him if he's learned anything.
And, if he demands it, tell him I'll pay.

I am more than glad that I missed that curse. I suppose I would have done what everyone else did, and hide out in my room until it was over. If I had been struck by it, and anywhere other than at home, I have no idea what I would have done. Put my back to the wall and walked home sidestepping like a crab, I suppose.
Merry was embarrassed about my being in my room at midnight, though. Hopefully she has no hard feelings about it. She said I was a gentleman. I should hope I am, but I'm her brother too. Well, she seems all right. She's angry at the City again, but nothing more.
And Riff seemed to have tolerated it patiently enough, even if I was doing his job for the day. The tea I make isn't quite so good as his, but I knew that already. He's patient enough, he probably just shrugged and locked his door. He was worried it would inconvenience me, as though I wouldn't understand. I've been here for longer than he has, so how could I not understand?
Still no news. But I've sent Megumi a message. If she can speak to him--how close is she in them anymore?--then perhaps there'll be news. More waiting. I am sick of waiting. Nothing new. The same old stale crusts and ideas. And interest wanes. I see no mentions of it, no one talks about it. By the time I find the real connection, everyone who was poisoned may have left the City, or the police may not even recall what happened. How much chase are they giving?
I will find him.

I am more than glad I wasn't forced into that one. I suppose I would have done what everyone else did, and hidden in my room for the day. I think I may have been one of only a handful of people who weren't struck by it. I've been hit with so many lately, I'd like to think the 'deities' thought I deserved a break. But that's giving them rather a bit too much kindness.I hate to admit it, but I think I'm grateful for it--
Not that I had much of a break yesterday, really, running errands, fetching meals--which couldn't be made in our kitchen anyway, since even that was a hideout for some who were cursed--and trying to walk down streets filled with people in their altogether. So since most of the City--those who weren't bold enough or who didn't have to go out--had a day to hide out yesterday, I think I may very well take mine today. No curse today, but one never knows what will happen tomorrow.

[ooc: Because Cain was one of the few (the only?) with clothes in the opera house, he was playing errand boy and doorman and butler and everything else for Merry and Riff--and anyone else who'd like to claim he brough them...I don't know...sandwiches at dinnertime or whatever. He's tired now. Will tag as much as I can, but work soon-ish.]

Are you alone?
[ooc; AKA I need to get info from Bri and that's encoded in the flowers, because I'm assuming Cre-Cre's communicated with her at some point but if he hasn't, then I'll explain what Megumi might have found in that case. :3 ]
[ private || unhackable ]
Talk to the flowers? As I have with the flowers you've sent before?
I'm as alone as I usually am in this place.
[ooc: I need to poke Bri about it all too, so no worries. Ironically, I've got the "evidence" with me at the moment, IRL XD--you'll see. I just kind of wanted to get things stirred up again.]
[ private || unhackable ]
And yes, the very same way. Be sure to not have anyone around, so you can hear them.
[ooc; Okay so Bri says Cre-Cre's given Megumi some hints and is suggesting that he found some substantial clue or so that will be given directly to Cain. Also, when Megumi means talk to the flowers, she really means talk to them-- you can assume she's taught him this trick. The flowers will whisper everything in his ear :3 Just light little magic to make sure the info only reaches his ears alone. :D
And wee, evidence, do want. I need to have Edgeworth making some headway too... need to know what he can find. :|]
[ private || unhackable ]
Oh, I see. A different sort of talking, not just messages sent with the flowers' meanings. I'm still not used to your ways of doing things.
[ooc: Enchanted talking flowers~! Okay. And I need to get Bri the "evidence" lol (it involves a camera and a handkerchief--yay arts and crafts!)--that is, I think, the substantial clue. I can't do it tonight because, grr, work tomorrow morning and I need to be asleep, uh, half an hour ago.]

I'm just glad he hasn't caught onto me. I'd be in deep trouble if he did..
[ooc; GO TO BED FISHY ;^; ilu. ]
[ private || unhackable ]
I am too, more glad than you can imagine.
[ooc: (>((u))*3 ♥ Fishy will go to bed soon. ilu2.]
