((The soft, muffled shuffling of blankets and bedclothes...a small muttering groan, someone not wanting to get up.))
Why is it morning already...?
All right...
((Fumble, shuffle.))
I remember yesterday only vaguely, like one remembers a dream, or a drunken night out. I thought I was a sultan, living in a palace hung with silk... There were holy men and mad men, flying carpets, genii in lamps, adventurers, dancing girls, the ladies of the court--my court--all around me, all colour, and light, and fire...
But I--((a sigh))--realise now there are more than a few to whom I owe apologies, or perhaps explanations.
To put it simply, you have my sincerest apologies for the...madness the curse brought over me. It was a curse and nothing more. I am terribly sorry.
There's nothing else I can say about it.
((Another groan.))
And I shan't be going out today, that much is certain.
Riff? Riff, where are you?
I had a mother--for one day, I had a mother who loved me, who held me with her white hands--

[ooc: Aaaaaaaaaaand sultan no more. Having crashed, now with a curse "hangover," extremely embarrassed, he's woken up in his own bed, and, luckily (?) alone. Be nice? ...or, not, that's okay too. Strikeouts are thoughts--you can't hear them.
A huge, huge, huge thank you to everyone who played along with the harem theme yesterday. I hope you had fun. I know I did. I was so glad to revisit this scenario with Cain--the lulz are immense. I hope you had twice as much fun as I did. Thank you all so much! I am now about as tired as Cain |D;;]

My name? Japanese. Ayasegawa Yumichika.
no subject
I perhaps should have guessed that. So ought I to call you Ayasegawa or Yumichika? I'm beginning to think I ought to learn Japanese since there are so many Japanese in the City. It's a beautiful language, though, so it would hardly be a burden.
no subject
You should learn it as a supplement to yourself, Cain-san. It would be a charming addition. I wouldn't be opposed to helping you learn.
Also, addressing me as Ayasegawa holds a degree of basic courtesy and formality, the usual in my language. But you may call me Yumichika if you like, or shorten it as you please since it is a mouthful for some.

I think--odd--.You know, I may very well take you up on that offer.
I see, so it is your last name--family name first. Yumichika isn't so impossible. I mastered pronouncing 'Yamamura,' 'Kotobuki', 'Sakurazuka', and 'Agatsuma' fairly easily, after all.

Yes, family name followed by first name. Perhaps you are a natural, Cain-san.
